Architect of the IT Industry
MAS InfoSoft nominated by Government of Pakistan for 'Architect of the IT Industry' award to be awarded at ITCN
ASIA 2004 in August.
MAS Infosoft has been nominated for 'Architect of the IT Industry' award to be awarded at ITCN ASIA 2004 in August.
Government of Pakistan has nominated MAS InfoSoft Pvt Ltd for this prestigious award on recognizing our contribution to
the IT sector.
MAS InfoSoft has greatly contributed to the 99.9% uptime of www.punjab.gov.pk. MAS InfoSoft was the first company who
dared to host www.punjab.gov.pk when all other companies had refused to host this site. This site was continuously
under Denial of Service (DoS) and Distributed Denail of Service (DDoS) attacks by a network of hackers. Hackers downed
this and other GoP web sites and the Government was helpless against these repeated attacks. At this critical stage,
MAS InfoSoft offered its services to Government of Punjab and hosted the site on its secure servers. We installed latest
cutting edge Cisco technology, IDS systems and took necessary security measures. We knocked out hackers and after that,
the site never went down due to DoS and DDoS attacks. On this great contribution, Government of Punjab appreciated us in
their written letter. It is an honor for MAS InfoSoft to host www.punjab.gov.pk.
MAS InfoSoft has also contributed to the development of Government of Pakistan portal (www.pakistan.gov.pk).
MAS InfoSoft developed & integrated web sites for 8 ministries and departments. MAS InfoSoft is working for a breakthrough
in Urdu Unicode based portals. At present this technology is in its early stages and only experienced IT people can use it
but with the passage of time, general public will also be able to write in Urdu on computers and internet.
Software interfaces and GUIs will be designed in Urdu so that ordinary people who do not know English, can use computers.
We have developed a Unicode based web portal and web portal management system and it will be launched soon.
MAS InfoSoft has not only contributed to government departments but to general public also in the form of
www.pehchaan.com. Pehchaan is the largest Urdu portal with more than 40,000 registered users.
Moreover it has daily news, news ticker that visitors can download to their desktops, articles regarding health, fashion, careers etc,
and Urdu messenger for chat in Urdu, live chat and email accounts with 10MB space have been provided.
MAS Infosoft has been the official sponsor of software exhibitions in FAST National University (http://nu.edu.pk).
MAS InfoSoft contributed to the arrangements of exhibition and helped students in show casing their projects. This exhibition is
one of the best exhibitions which are arranged in Pakistan yearly.
MAS InfoSoft represented Pakistan IT industry in GITEX UAE. Our IT industry was introduced to foreign clients. This exhibition
provided many sales leads to our IT industry.
MAS InfoSoft contributed to the design & development of Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority web site (www.ogra.org.pk).
Similarly MAS InfoSoft contributed to the SMEs of Pakistan in the form of content translation in Urdu for them.
MAS InfoSoft also designed and developed Urdu web site for SMEDA & IFC joint venture. This Urdu translation of internationally
recognized articles and content will particularly benefit SMEs because their majority cannot read English.
MAS InfoSoft has been active for the automation of local industry & engineering firms. It is evident from our services to
Pakistan Software Export Board for automation of many local engineering firms.
On international level, MAS InfoSoft has been actively providing foreign exchange to the economy from international clients.
MAS InfoSoft is working with clients in UK, USA and Europe. MAS InfoSoft has opened an office in UAE to help our UAE based clients.
We are planning to tap other emerging markets like China, Germany soon.
