MAS InfoSoft signs MOU with Sialkot City District Government

MAS InfoSoft Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of MAS Group, today signed a Memorandum of Understanding “MOU” to Develop Siakot Portal at a ceremony in Sialkot graced by the District Nazim Mian Naeem Javed. Siakot is the first Model IT District in Pakistan.

Under the terms of MOU:

• MAS InfoSoft will develop a portal for city district government for creating a citizen-centric culture and providing e-government services to citizens.
• MAS InfoSoft will provide sub-portals for all district departments. These departments will have admin consoles to update their data
• MAS InfoSoft will provide support and maintenance services for one year

District government officials will be using this portal for their day to day activities. They will be able to assign tasks, create projects, monitor project progress etc. Moreover there will be a Content Management System to maintain the portal.

Initially 3 departments will be integrated with this portal. With the passage of time, other departments will also be provided with this facility. Automation of departments and their integration to city district portal will benefit common citizens. They will not have to go to government offices to get and submit forms. They can download forms from the portal and submit online.

Industry in Sialkot is based on exports and this portal can be a gateway to foreign importers. This portal can have directories of exporters. Foreign customers can place their orders on the web and can have communication with interested parties. Sialkot industry will also be highlighted. There will be sub-portals for industry associations and groups.
