MAS InfoSoft signs MOU for IAAD
MAS InfoSoft (Pvt.) Ltd, a subsidiary of MAS Group, today signed a Memorandum of Understanding "MOU" with Information
Technology Department, Government of Punjab to develop web based software for Agriculture Department, Government of Punjab.
In IAAD (Information Automation of Agriculture Department) all activities performed by the government officers,
officials, and reporting teams of Agriculture Department Government of Punjab will be automated.
There are 14 major wings
and directorates within agriculture department. Some departments have sub departments. List of wings is as below:
- Extension
- Engineering Wing
- Research wing
- Water management wing
- Crop reporting service (CRS)
- Economics and Marketing (E&M)
- Floriculture Directorate
- Directorate of Pest warning & Quality Control Pesticides, Multan.
- Adaptive Research-a department of Extension wing
- Directorate of Information
- Agriculture Training Institutes
- Soil Fertility and water Testing Labs
- Pesticide Testing Lab
- Punjab Seed Corporation
- Water Management Training Institute
- Regional Agricultural Economic Development Center (RAEDC), Vehari
Basically data generates from union council and travels to markaz, tehsil, district to provincial level.
This software will help the department to get the latest information from fields and to provide timely information back to
farmers. Different field reporting activities of the department will be automated. The software will interconnect remote sites
of Department to headquarters so that different activities of the department may be coordinated and information flow may be
made prompt and quick and decision making processes may be assisted for better results.
